CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Beer lovers: Did you see Saucy Brew Works took home the title as Northeast Ohio’s Best Brewery?
Based on the results of a cleveland.com poll -- in which 46 contenders were narrowed to 15 finalists after nearly 27,000 votes -- we visited the Top 15 breweries across Northeast Ohio in five days. We sampled 75 beers and consumed some delicious appetizers and pretzels along the way.
Here’s who made the Top 5 (see link below for full results):
Winner: Saucy Brew Works, Cleveland; 2. Akronym Brewing, Akron; 3. Great Lakes Brewing, Cleveland; 4. Avon Brewing; 5. Masthead Brewing, Cleveland.
The beer judging panel consisted of cleveland.com beer critic Marc Bona, cleveland.com reporters Hayden Grove and Seth Richardson and Andrew Mitchell, a certified beer judge with the Society of Northeast Ohio Brewers (SNOBS).
Thank you for following us on this journey. Congratulations to all of the breweries that made it to the finals. We hope beer lovers are able to go and try some of the wonderful beers they offer.
