Through June: Granite City Food & Brewery will offer a promotional growler for $10. The promo growler can be filled - and refilled - for $5 per fill. It's at 24519 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst, in Legacy Village.

Monday, June 3: Michael Nowak of The Black Pig will challenge Mike Schoen of Tinman for the fourth annual Goose Island “Who Pairs Better” at 7 p.m. In this multi-course culinary showdown, each restaurant will create its own dish featuring an ingredient they feel will pair best with each round’s beer. Cost is $65 and includes five beers with 10 tasting courses. Featured beers: Dry Hopped 312 Wheat, Sofie Farmhouse Saison, Madame Rose Cherry Sour Ale, Goose Island Next Coast IPA and Bourbon County Reserve Vanilla Barrel Aged Stout. Tuesday, June 4: Platform Beer Co.’s Charitable Tuesday beneficiary is Muttley Crue to support medical bills of adoptable pups at 3 p.m. A dollar sold of every Platform beer or cider will be donated. It’s at 4125 Lorain Ave., Cleveland.

Wednesday, June 5: Hofbrauhaus Cleveland will hold its monthly keg tapping at 6:45 p.m. It's at 1550 Chester Ave., Cleveland.

Wednesday, June 5: The Akron RubberDucks will feature a local brewery on Craft Beer Night on home Wednesdays at Canal Park. It's at 300 S. Main St., Akron.

Thursday, June 6: Great Lakes Brewing Co. will hold Hop College: Beer 101 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cicerone-certified staffers will guide the educational tour and tasting. Cost is $40 and includes a nonic pint glass, discounts and more. It's at 2516 Market Ave., Cleveland. Email or call 216-771-4404.

Thursday, June 6: Firkin Thursday at Goldhorn Brewery is at 5 p.m. The folks at Goldhorn will concoct a unique firkin, a small batch one-time-only cask of beer with some added flavors. It's at 1361 E. 55th St., Cleveland.

Friday, June 7: Heinen's and Great Lakes Brewing Co. are collaborating on a tapping to mark the 90th anniversary of the grocery store. Center Cut Lager, a Bavarian-style lager, honors the store's beginning as a butcher shop. Cost: $5 half-growler, $8 growler. It's at 900 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.

Friday, June 7: Platform Beer Co. will hold Firkin Friday at 3 p.m. An exclusive firkin that has been aging with different ingredients will be tapped. Today: Under the Sun with dragon fruit and blueberries. It’s at 4125 Lorain Ave., Cleveland.

Friday, June 7: Heinen's will hold Pre-Game Beat the New York Yankees Beer Blast at 5 p.m. To mark the Yankees-Indians series June 7-9, the store will hold a pre-game tasting featuring Southern Tier, Victory and Sixpoint breweries of New York. Cost is $15. It's at 900 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.

Friday, June 7: Lizardville will hold a barrel-aged beer night at 4 p.m. It will include a blind taste-test of two flights. It's at 25380 Miles Road, Bedford.

Saturday, June 8: Royal Park Fine Wines will have a pre-Father's Day craft-beer tasting 3-5 p.m. Fifteen beers covering a range of styles will be offered along with finger foods. Cost is $15. For reservations, call 440-582-8466. It's at 12770 Royalton Road, North Royalton.

Sunday, June 9: The Brewery Collectibles Club of America's Lake Erie chapter's spring show is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It's billed as the chapter's D-Day show, since it is three days after the 75th anniversary of D-Day and is being held in D-Day Ohio Event Hall, 283 Buffalo St., Conneaut. The club is about breweriana - all things beer-related. Cans, bottles, signs, trays, lights, coasters, tap handles, openers and more will be on display. Admission is free.

Monday, June 10: Great Lakes Brewing Co.'s monthly Giving Monday will donate $1 of every beer sold to Stone Soup Cleveland. It's at 2516 Market Ave., Cleveland.

Tuesday, June 11: Great Lakes Brewing Co. will hold a five-course Brewmaster's Dinner at the Ohio City Farm at 6 p.m. It will pair seasonal and year-round beers and will feature vegetables, herbs and spices harvested at Ohio City Farm. Thursday, June 13: Rozi's Wine House will hold a front porch dinner featuring Jackie O's Brewery in Athens, Ohio City Provisions and Brewnuts 6-8 p.m. Reps from all three are scheduled to be in attendance. Cost is $50. It’s at 14900 Detroit Ave., Lakewood.

Friday, June 14: Platform Beer Co. will release Orangeaid session sour ale at 3 p.m. It's at 4125 Lorain Ave., Cleveland.

Friday, June 14: A two-hour sightseeing Brews Cruise is scheduled aboard the Nautica Queen the night before Cleveland Beerfest. Includes pasta bar and seven-beer voucher good for craft beer. Tickets are $60 (advance), $70 (at the door), $35 (designated driver).

Saturday, June 15: Platform Beer Co. will hold Haze Trip - a Hazy IPA tap takeover - at 10 a.m. It's at 4125 Lorain Ave., Cleveland. Also, Peach Fog and Days That Got Away will be released. Peach Fog is a Hazy IPA brewed with peaches at 6.5% alcohol and 33 International Bittering Units, and Days That Got Away is a Milkshake IPA brewed with pineapple, coconut and lactose at 8.4% alcohol and 20 IBUs.

Friday, June 21: The Wine Spot will hold a tasting featuring Sibling Revelry Brewery of Westlake 6-9 p.m. It’s at 2271 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights.

Saturday, June 22: Der Braumeister will host Staatliches Hofbräu München Brewery Masskrugstemmen, a stein-holding contest, 6-9 p.m. One female and one male will advance to Chicago to compete in regionals. Eventual winners will go to Germany to compete. Entry to compete is free with a meal and liter purchase. It's at 13046 Lorain Ave., Cleveland.

Saturday, June 22: Akron Zoo will hold Brew at the Zoo 6:30-10:30 p.m. Today's theme: Decades Night. Includes eight samples and 4-ounce tasting glass. Admission: $33 ($27 for members). Saturday, June 29: The third annual Masthead 5K and Brew Fest is scheduled. A beer festival will follow a 5K and 1.5-mile run/walk at 10 a.m. Fifteen breweries will set up in the back parking lot of Masthead from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets via eventbrite are $25-$60 depending on if you are running.
