CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Crocker Park Wine Festival is slated, Opal on Pearl has a Rosé and chocolate tasting planned, and many other events are set in Greater Cleveland. Through July: Pinstripes will mark its first anniversary by offering a $1 glass of wine (or $1 gelato) to anyone who mentions their anniversary. Offer is limited to one per person per visit. It's at 111 Park Ave., Orange Village, in the Pinecrest development.

Tuesday, July 16: Oberlin Heritage Center will host Vintage & Vintner: A Midsummer Soiree of Wine & History 6-8 p.m. at Matus Winery. Winery owner Bob Matus will talk wine, and OHC executive director Liz Schultz will present a mini-history program on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing. Reservations are $30 and includes two glasses of wine (more are available for purchase) and finger foods. The event supports Pat Murphy Endowment for Heritage Preservation. Wednesday, July 17: Flying Fig will hold an Old World Pinot Noir Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $75. It's at 2523 Market Ave., Cleveland.

Friday, July 19: Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens will debut Off the Vine, a tasting event pairing food and wine 6-9 p.m. More than 60 wines will be available throughout the historic gardens, complemented by tapas-style offerings from local purveyors. The evening will feature several Ohio wineries including Debonne, Grand River, Spring Hill, South River, Cherry Road and others.
