CLEVELAND, Ohio -- You’re a polkaholic and you’re shaking with happy feet?

Well, lucky you: It’s time for the Thanksgiving Polka Weekend. The 56th installment of the annual polkathon hits Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center. It runs Thursday through Saturday and features music, dancing and a variety of Cleveland-Style and Slovenian polka bands and entertainers from around the country.

The event was founded by Cleveland Slovenian and polka activist Tony Petkovsek, who past away in February. Petkovsek, who also co-founded the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame and Museum, will be honored at the event, which doubles as a banquet to honor Polka Hall inductees: bandleaders Walt Groller and Al Meixner and accordion maker Anton Merver.

World accordion champion Denis Novato and Meixner, a Grammy-nominated squeezeboxer, will headline a list of performers.

Tickets prices and packages vary. For a schedule and more info, go to polkafame.com or call 216- 261-3263.
