‘Dom Eats Local’ heads to New Jersey and learns how sliders got their name

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Chef Dom Tesoriero's culinary journey gives him a bit of a break this week, as he returns to his East Coast roots for some tasty eats.

“Dom Eats Local” started out in Cleveland, and Chef Dom travelled to Detroit and Portland, visiting different eateries and meeting with restaurant owners and food writers. It’s all documented in the short video series.

Today: Jersey City, New Jersey. Chef Dom checks out one restaurant that touts its "American bar food with Asian flavors." Then he works the grill in a classic diner from the 1939 World's Fair in an region that bills itself as the "diner capital of the world." (You'll learn how a slider got its name.)
