Tuesday, Nov. 19: Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern will offer a five-course fall wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. with wines from California, Chile, Argentina, Italy and France. Call 330-486-BLUE (2583). It's at 8960 Wilcox Dr., Twinsburg.

Wednesday, Nov. 19: Washington Place Bistro & Inn offers a "2 for $44" deal that includes a bottle of wine, appetizer and two entrees for $44. It's at 2203 Cornell Road, Cleveland.

Tuesday, Nov. 19: Murano offers half off wine by the bottle during happy hour 3-6 p.m. It's at 1852 E. 6th St., Cleveland.

Thursday, Nov. 21: Taste will hold its 11th annual 90-plus point rated California Cabernet Sauvignon tasting. Guests can come in anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. to taste five Napa Valley wines from Chappellet, Macauley, Tuck Beckstoffer, Scattered Peaks and Galerie Pleinair. Cost is $30. Saturday, Feb. 8: The third annual Wine, Cheese & Chocolate, Darling! tasting event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Akron Civic Theatre. It features 45 wines paired with 18 cheeses and local chocolates. It’s at 182 S. Main St., in downtown Akron. Here’s more information on the event.
