The state has set a date for the Ohio liquor-bottle lottery. Pappy Van Winkle and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection bottles will be available.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ohio’s lottery for Pappy Van Winkle and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection bottles will begin at 12:01 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, and run through 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13.

People can enter both lotteries with one submission and have a chance to win a product from both collections, according to the Ohio Department of Commerce. You can choose to enter one lottery or both. Winners are awarded the chance to buy a bottle; they do not receive free bottles.

The first lottery in 2017 drew 8,000 entries. A second one that year attracted 27,500. And in 2018, 73,443 entries came in.

To enter, go to OHLQ.com and submit name, address, birth date, email, phone and Ohio Driver’s License number or Ohio identification-card number. Entrants then receive a six-digit number. Winners will be notified in early January via email, and a list will be posted online. Winners must buy their bottle by Sunday, Jan. 19.
