Monday, Nov. 4: Hofbrauhaus is holding BeerMeMondays, offering $5 liters, $5 off growlers and $2 off crowlers. It’s at 1550 Chester Ave., Cleveland.

Monday, Nov. 4: Cuyahoga Community College is offering an introductory community-education course on the science of beer making. The hands-on course will provide tips on how to start a home-brewing operation. Today's first class is followed by Nov. 18, Nov. 25 and Dec. 2. It's at Corporate College East, 4400 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights. Cost is $149.

Tuesday, Nov. 5: Western Reserve Meadery will release Winter Warmer, a spiced mead created from cranberry blossom honey, at 4 p.m. It's at 2135 Columbus Road, Cleveland.

Tuesday, Nov. 5: Platform Beer Co.’s Charitable Tuesday beneficiary is the Orange Effect Foundation at 3 p.m. The organization empowers children and young adults with speech disorders. A dollar sold of every Platform beer or cider will be donated. It’s at 4125 Lorain Ave., Cleveland.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: Paladin Brewing Co. kicks off a four-day Christmas toy drive through Operation Christmas Child Samaritan's Purse. It runs through Saturday, Nov. 9. Donate small toys or cash and receive $1 off beer and merchandise. It's at 6520 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: Beerhead Bar & Eatery will hold Two Roads Brewing Pint Night at 4 p.m. It's at 1156 W. 11th St., Cleveland.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: The Rail will hold beer school featuring Saucy Brew Works at 7 p.m. Cost is $12. It's at 3265 W. Market St., Fairlawn.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: Platform Beer Co. will hold a benefit for Tinker's Creek Watershed Partners 3 p.m. to midnight. A dollar of every house beer sold will be donated. It’s at 4125 Lorain Ave., Cleveland.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: Hofbrauhaus Cleveland will hold its monthly keg tapping at 6:45 p.m. The unfiltered dark lager Winterzwickel (5.6% alcohol, 20 International Bittering Units) will be tapped. It's at 1550 Chester Ave., Cleveland.

Thursday, Nov. 7: Platform Beer Co. will release Caramelicious at 3 p.m. It's a collaboration with Malley's Chocolates. The salted caramel chocolate milk stout incorporates Malley’s salted caramel. The first 50 people to buy Caramelicious (pint or six-pack) receive a free salted caramel chocolate. It's at 4125 Lorain Ave. and 3506 Vega Ave. in Cleveland.

Friday, Nov. 8: The Wine Spot will release ales from MadTree and Stone Brewing. It's billed as two breweries, one recipe: Goliath's Perch East (MadTree) and Goliath's Perch West (Stone), Double India Pale Ales brewed with malt local to each location. It's at 2271 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights.

Saturday, Nov. 9: Saucy Brew Works will donate proceeds from sales of Red Gummy Bear Blonde Ale for medical expenses of an employee who was seriously injured in an accident. The fundraiser will continue through Saturday, Nov. 16. It's at 2885 Detroit Ave., Cleveland. Here are more details.

• BBA What's His Nuts, Vanilla Stout aged in Cleveland Whiskey barrels for six months with Madagascar vanilla beans, peanut butter and Honduran coffee, 11.2% alcohol.

• BBA Period Paragraph, Vanilla Stout aged in High Bank barrels for six months with Ohio maple syrup, 11.8% alcohol.

Friday, Nov. 29: Forest City Brewery will hold a tree-trimming party and will release Shinny, the brewery's spiced Belgian quad. Also, Duck Island Cocktails will release Kringle Juice cocktails. Tuesday, Dec. 10: Great Lakes Brewing Co. will release Wigle Whiskey barrel-aged Christmas Ale at its annual Holiday Brewmaster’s Dinner at 7 p.m. The dinner will include five seasonally themed courses paired with beers, including one course highlighting a side-by-side tasting of Rudolph, whiskey aged in Christmas Ale barrels, and Christmas Ale aged in Wigle Whiskey barrels.
