‘Around the World’ wine-dinner set at The Rustic Grill

StoneWater Golf Club is taking a drive-in theater approach to show a holiday double feature next month.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Rustic Grill at StoneWater Golf Club is hosting a five-course, five-wine dinner on Saturday, March 20.

The Around the World wine tasting and dinner pairing is 7-9:30 p.m. Cory Deibel from Vintage Wine Distributor will team with StoneWater chefs on the dinner.

The menu

France: Yellowfin tail tuna with aubergine puree and herbs. Wine: 2018 Maison Joseph Drouhin Chassagne-Montrachet.

Spain: Coriander-crusted skate wing, melted leeks, fingerling chips, mojo verde. Wine: 2009 Cvne Imperial Rioja Gran Reserva.

Chile: Churrasco, Wagyu tri-tip, parmesan tuile, espelette pepper aioli, tomato jam, crispy potato. Wine: 2015 Los Vascos Le Dix De Los Vascos.

Italy: Braised wild boar ravioli, chanterelle mushrooms, sunchoke cream. Wine: 2016 Giovanni Rosso Cerretta Barolo.

Germany: Dutch Baby, white chocolate lemon custard, blackberry ice cream, brown-butter thyme caramel, cinnamon sugar roasted almonds. Wine: Wehlener Sonnenhuhr Spatlese Riesling.

All featured wines will be available for purchase that evening with a 10% discount.

The restaurant follows social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines, and guests’ temperatures will be taken at the door.

The Rustic Grill is at One Club Dr., Highland Heights. Executive chef is Kathryn Neidus.

While many places resorted to virtual tastings during the coronavirus pandemic, restaurants are slowly beginning to schedule wine dinners and other events. 111 Bistro in Medina has one coming up that pairs courses from co-owner-chef Anthony Scolaro with wines from his brother, Drew Scolaro, who owns E18hteen Wines.
