BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – When the weather gets hot, my mind immediately starts thinking about frozen custard. Not just any custard, mind you. I want something that takes me back to a bygone era.
Sometimes this means East Coast Original, which I’m told is a dead ringer for the Euclid Beach classic. I’m a bit young to remember that, given that Euclid Beach closed in 1969. But I do know that a good homemade frozen vanilla custard is darned hard to beat on a sweltering day.
