hil Melendez, of Fairview Park, sent us this photo of him and his dog, Gaston, a German shepherd last year. Melendez and his wife are helping in the first phase of Gaston's training to become a service dog for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Gaston is expected to leave the Melendez household this year, when he's 18 months old, for his formal training.
