Improving foster care: Kids need love, not mental health meds

I was appalled by the recent Government Accountability Office study (pdf) revealing that antidepressants and antipsychotics are regularly prescribed to foster children. Why? To shut them up? Wouldn't it be kinder to welcome them and make them feel a part of a family?

It is ironic that we are told to stay away from drugs, but bloodsuckers continue to prescribe them to adults and to children. It's about money.

Those kids need love, not medication!
