Medina County auditor releases financial report for Oct. 10-14

MEDINA, Ohio - Medina County Auditor Mike Kovack has released has released the following information about county finances for the week of Oct. 10-14:

Overall revenues for the county this week were $2,203,548.30. The largest income was from local government, at $317,695.15.

The Auditor's Accounting Department issued 530 checks for total expenditures of $1,306,132.47. County commissioner-approved expenditures totaled $666,322.69. One vendor's license was issued.

There were 50 residential home sales this week. The average sales price for a home in Medina County this week was $214,649. Total fees collected for transfers were $33,222.

There were two commercial sales this week, for an average sales price of $10,000. Total fees for those transfers were $61.

Paws for the Cause

The fourth annual Medina County SPCA Paws for the Cause Walk/5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held Saturday on the Medina Square.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit abused, neglected and injured animals that the SPCA works to protect.

Bring your pet, and walk or run. Cost is $25 for adults, $15 for children and free for pets. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
