Chances for rain are in the forecast for the Akron area tonight, with occasional showers on Tuesday.

AKRON, Ohio - Temperatures are expected to remain above average much of the upcoming week across the Akron area.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland is reporting temperatures throughout the upcoming week in the Akron area will be at or above average highs in the low 40s. The month of November is wrapping up as the third-warmest November on record in Cleveland, with an average daily high temperature of 57 degrees.

The downside is that we will have precipitation to deal with through mid-week. Rain showers are possible this evening and much of Tuesday, and rain shower chances are in the forecast Wednesday, mixing with and changing over to snow Wednesday evening and late night. However, conditions should be dry from Thursday through Sunday.

At 3 p.m., National Weather Service radar showed no precipitation in Ohio. Storm systems stretching from western Michigan back into Missouri and from Tennessee and North Carolina into Virginia are heading toward the northeast.

Temperatures today reached the upper 40s and will climb to the mid-50s Tuesday before tumbling to the low- to mid-40s Wednesday and Thursday and then rising to the upper 40s Friday and the low 50s Saturday and Sunday. The temperature at 3 p.m. was 46 with mostly cloudy skies at Akron-Canton Regional Airport and 48 with fair skies at Akron Fulton International Airport.
