CLEVELAND, Ohio - A man and a woman were each stabbed several times Sunday evening on the city's West Side, police said.

The stabbing happened about 5:15 p.m. on the 2000 block of Broadview Road in the city's Old Brooklyn neighborhood, Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said.

The two victims, a 34-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, were taken to MetroHealth for treatment, Lanton said. Their current conditions are unknown.

Details of the circumstances surrounding the stabbings were not immediately released. No arrests have been made.

The stabbing took place just blocks away from a Saturday night shooting on Roanoke Avenue, though no connection between the two incidents has been made.
