CLEVELAND, Ohio — The number of new coronavirus cases reported in Ohio on Tuesday isn’t as bad as it looks ... but it’s still not good.
The Ohio Department of Health reported 25,721 new cases, but about half of those are because of the clearing of a backlog of unverified antigen tests. Still, the surge in Ohio remains a big problem ... Tuesday’s number would have set a record without including the antigen tests. The coronavirus is taking away a cherished football tradition this year as the Ohio State-Michigan game has been canceled. And coronavirus fragments found in wastewater at two treatment plants indicate Cuyahoga County soon could see a significant increase in cases.
