SOMERSET, England – Pop legend Cyndi Lauper looked sad as fans left her performance at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend.

Lauper announced in early June that she was saying goodbye with a planned “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour” starting in September.

The 70-year-old took the stage at Glastonbury on Saturday afternoon and faced a number of technical difficulties including issues with her microphone.

According to The Mirror, a U.K.-based magazine, a mass number of fans left her set after she sang her famous song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”

“The singer noticed people were heading away from the stage after her hit song, with a Mirror reporter at Glastonbury spotting Cyndi looking visibly upset,” the magazine wrote about her set.

Lauper later told the BBC that she “had a few technical things, wardrobe difficulties, but I had fun.”

She said she wasn’t happy with the sound but went with it, and that she was having trouble with her silver pants “falling down” as she sang.

Lauper’s farewell tour has 23 planned stops.
