CLEVELAND - Snow measured 14 inches deep Friday night in Maple Heights, while there was just 7 inches in Ohio’s unofficial snow capital of Chardon.
Such is the nature of winter storms in the Cleveland area.
The National Weather Service late Friday night reported snow-on-the-ground measurements from dozens of locations across Northeast Ohio from trained spotters and other official locations.
Four spots on the list had 10 inches or more, with Cleveland Heights (12 inches), Macedonia (12 inches) and Parma (10 inches) joining Maple Heights in double digits.
See the chart below for measurements from 50 locations in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit counties.
