CLEVELAND, Ohio -- FirstEnergy says it is ready to take on the heat.
In a news release, FirstEnergy assured customers that it would be prepared to handle increased demand for electricity due to this week’s heatwave. The company said it has been doing equipment inspections to detect potential problems at substations, and checking on powerlines using helicopters and thermo-vision cameras.
