COLUMBUS, Ohio - A bill banning diversity, equity and inclusion training at Ohio colleges and requiring schools affirm a commitment to intellectual diversity to ensure conservatives don’t self-censor, among other changes, is on ice until the political tide has turned more in favor of it, the bill’s sponsor said.

“We’re going to wait for a more favorable environment in the House before (Senate Bill) 83 comes back for discussion,” said state Sen. Jerry Cirino, a Lake County Republican.
