COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Giants suspended former Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple on Wednesday for "conduct detrimental to the team."

According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Apple's suspension came about after getting into disagreements with the coaching staff.

He will miss the Giants' regular season finale vs. the Redskins on Sunday.

This comes a day after Apple's teammate, Landon Collins, called Apple a "cancer".

Apple was drafted No. 10 overall by the Giants in 2016 and has not made a massive impact in the NFL so far. The Giants are 2-13 this year, which is the second-worst record in the NFL to the 0-15 Browns.
