COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Urban Meyer's loss could be Dan Mullen's gain.

Ohio State quarterback commit Emory Jones, who has made multiple visits to Alabama and Auburn this fall, has added a new team to the list of programs trying to flip the Georgia native away from the Buckeyes.

According to multiple reports, Jones is taking an official visit to Florida this weekend. Jones confirmed the visit to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren.

The possibility of Jones flipping out of Ohio State's class increased this fall when the four-star prospect and No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the country made multiple visits to both Alabama and Auburn -- each closer to his Georgia home -- while making just one trip to Columbus this fall.

If Jones did leave Ohio State's class, Alabama was the presumed destination. Now it feels like Florida could have the momentum.

The Gators went through a recent coaching change with Mullen, a former assistant of Meyer's at Florida and one of Meyer's best personal friends, taking over for former coach Jim McElwain. Florida is also in the market for a quarterback in this class after four-star quarterback Matt Corral flipped from the Gators to Ole Miss on Thursday night.

Ohio State also holds a commitment from three-star Texas quarterback Matthew Baldwin. When the Buckeyes took that commitment two weeks ago -- amid the uncertainty surrounding Jones -- that was a sign that perhaps Ohio State's staff had accepted the idea that it would lose Jones, and were content bringing in just Baldwin.

Multiple 247Sports crystal ball predictions came in pegging Jones for Florida on Friday.

Jones intends on signing next Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period, and enrolling early at whichever school he ends up choosing.
