COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Michael Thomas posted career numbers of 1,602 yards and 18 touchdowns on 113 catches in three years at Ohio State.
He then went on to be a second-round draft pick by the New Orleans Saints in 2016. Four years later he became the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history after signing a five-year, $100 million extension in September. This season he has set the Saints’ single-season receptions record with a league-high 133 receptions for 1,552 yards and eight touchdowns.
Thomas got a chance to look back at his college career and admitted that he thought he was a “late bloomer” in his development. He also discussed how a three-star high school recruit from Woodland Hills, Calif., ended up accepting one of the four offers he had from Big Ten schools. Watch the video below to see his thoughts:
