COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State football’s defense — ranked throughout the season as one of the best in the nation — will send at least two players to the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
The annual All-Star game announced Wednesday that cornerback Damon Arnette Jr. had accepted an invitation. He joins linebacker Malik Harrison as Buckeyes confirmed to play in the event.
Arnette returned to Ohio State for a fifth season rather that enter the NFL Draft. He has followed through with 34 tackles, seven pass breakups, one interception and one fumble forced in 12 games. He contributes to a squad ranked second nationally in total defense and second in pass defense.
Arnette was a second team All-Big Ten Defense selection.
The Senior Bowl is held in Mobile, Alabama, on Jan. 25. NFL Network will broadcast the 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
Senior Bowl teams are split into North and South rosters, which are coached by the staffs of two NFL teams.
