COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State football opened as a heavy favorite to win its third consecutive Big Ten championship game.

Circa Sports installed the Buckeyes as an 18-point favorite over Wisconsin in the first publicly available line.

As of late Wednesday night the consensus at VegasInsider.com showed a line of 16.5.

Ohio State defeated Wisconsin 38-7 at Ohio Stadium on Oct. 26. The Badgers have not lost since, completing a 10-2 regular season with a 38-17 victory at Minnesota on Saturday.

The Buckeyes are 9-3 against the spread this season, and 5-3 when favored by 17 or more points.

Ohio State covered the spread in each of its last two Big Ten championship game victories, per oddsshark.com. In 2018, it was favored by 16.5 against Northwestern and won 45-24. In 2017 it was favored by 3.5 over Wisconsin and won 27-21.

Wisconsin is 7-5 against the spread this season and 0-1 as an underdog, failing to beat the 14.5-point spread against Ohio State.

Circa did not immediately set an over/under total for the game.
