Beginning January 7, 2017, Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL) will offer Saturday storytimes at its Berea, Fairview Park, Parma Heights, Parma, Solon and Southeast (Bedford) branches. Storytimes are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
"We know it can be hard for parents to find the time to bring their children to storytime during the work week. We hope that by offering storytimes on Saturdays more parents and kids will be able to join us and benefit from participating," said CCPL Literacy and Learning Division Director Pamela Jankowski. "Storytimes help teach children essential school readiness skills like taking turns and participating in group activities. They may not look like it, but storytimes are actually carefully planned lessons designed to educate as well as entertain, and many include physical activity like singing and dancing."
