Hospice volunteer training in Cleveland set for 2013

CLEVELAND

- Hospice of the Western Reserve seeks volunteers to take training and assist the hospice in a wide range of opportunities in private residences, nursing homes, assisted living communities, two Hospice House locations and hospital settings.

The next two east side series of volunteer training classes will be in January and February, at Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland. Classes are offered 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 9-Feb. 16; or Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 2 and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 9 and 16.

Teen and non-clinical volunteers must attend the first class and four hours of self-study, while clinical volunteers must attend all the classes and four hours of self-study.
