Ford Ranger occupants throw something at another vehicle: Lakewood Police Blotter

LAKEWOOD

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT, WARREN ROAD: A driver called the police and said that people in a Ford Ranger had just thrown something at another car's window Dec. 17.

The caller said that no damage had been done, but he wanted to request extra attention be given to the area.

The parties who threw the object were not found.

DISTURBANCE, DETROIT AVENUE: Multiple people were fighting on the ground outside Pug Mahone's at 1:42 a.m. Dec. 17.

A bouncer called the police and said that the fight was moving close to the street and several people nearly got hit by passing cars. He added that soon enough half of the group left and the other half went back into the bar.

There was no one fighting when the officer arrived.

DISTURBANCE, REVELEY AVENUE: One resident called the police to mention several neighbors talking loudly at 1:55 a.m. Dec. 17.

During the call, however, the resident said that it sounded like a car came turning around a nearby corner and one of the tires fell off.

An officer did stop out to check out the vehicle, which was having “mechanical problems.”

The vehicle was parked for the night. There was no follow-up information with respect to the loud neighbors.

DISTURBANCE, DETROIT AVENUE: A woman called the police and said that she heard bottles breaking outside and that she noticed her friend's car had been "egged" Dec. 17.

She requested officers check the area. No further information was available.

DISTURBANCE, HILLARD ROAD: A man and a woman were arguing in their apartment at 3:26 a.m. Dec. 17.

The man was refusing to leave. As it turned out though, he was an “unwanted guest,” according to the woman. An officer explained this to him and he left.

OVI, EDGEWATER DRIVE: A man and a woman were fighting in their apartment at 5:42 a.m. Dec. 17.

The woman said that the man had threatened her and that she had locked herself in the bedroom. She told dispatch that she thought he had taken her keys to the apartment and was likely outside in the parking lot.

She offered police a description of the man and explained what kind of car he was driving. Officers caught up with the man, driving away from the apartment.

After questioning, he was cited and arrested for OVI.

PEDESTRIAN COMPLAINT, MADISON AVENUE: Police received word of a woman walking down the middle of the street and wearing a Santa hat at 9 p.m. Dec. 17.

An officer stopped out and spoke with her. She said she lived nearby and she would use the sidewalk the rest of the way.

DISTURBANCE, EDGEWATER DRIVE: A resident called and said that someone was buzzing the front door of the apartment complex to be let in Dec. 16.

The visitor made his way to the complainant’s door and started pounding on it. The resident did not know who this person was.

An officer came to the building and spoke with the man. He said that he had gotten confused and had thought that he was at the right apartment. He wasn’t.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON, ELMWOOD AVENUE: A woman called the police and said that there was an intruder in her house Dec. 16.

As the conversation continued, she discovered that it was one of her neighbors who had come into her house.

Apparently, her husband invited the neighbor in unbeknownst to her. Everything checked out OK.

PARKING PROBLEMS, DOWD AVENUE: A resident called to say that a vehicle was parked on the street, blocking the driveway Dec. 16.

When an officer arrived, he noticed that he vehicle was not blocking the driveway, according to the report.

The occupant in the vehicle said that he had pulled over to talk on his cell phone. He was sent on his way.
