Reckless operation: Lewis Road

An off-duty Berea officer contacted police at 8:48 a.m. Dec. 10 about a box truck that was being driven all over the road.

The motorist was stopped. The Amazon driver appeared to be distracted while looking for addresses. The officer advised him about his driving and the proper truck route.

Fraud: Forest View Drive

A resident went to the police station Dec. 8 to file a fraud report.

Property damage: Scott Boulevard

Police learned at 10:13 p.m. Dec. 9 that a tree had fallen on an unoccupied SUV parked on the street. The service department also was notified, since the tree was in the roadway.

Foot patrol: Columbia Road

An officer on foot patrol at 3:44 a.m. Dec. 10 found the front door of Matteo’s open. He checked inside. All was OK. He secured the door and continued patrolling.

Car crash: Columbia Road

Police went to the scene of a two-car crash at 12:03 a.m. Dec. 13 in front of the fire station. One driver was possibly drunk.

The driver of a pickup truck was transported via car to the hospital. The squad took the other motorist to the hospital.

Both cars were towed. Debris was removed from the roadway.
