2020 NFL Draft

Eyes of the NFL will be locked on Ohio State's massive Pro Day

While free agency has stolen the spotlight of late, the Browns and other teams across the NFL continue to work toward the draft in April, carefully inspecting players across the country and evaluating their strengths and drawbacks.

Because of this, the eyes of the league will be trained on Columbus, Ohio, Friday morning for Ohio State's Pro Day, in which approximately a fourth of the program's roster is expected to participate.

The Buckeyes — who announced Wednesday that 22 players are set to work out in front of NFL coaches, scouts and a sea of media members — might have the deepest crop of players in this year's draft class.

After all, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., projected as many as six Ohio State players in the first round this year, including DE Joey Bosa, RB Ezekiel Elliott, CB Eli Apple and LB Darron Lee.

Bosa, a three-time All-American, is considered a top-five pick by some analysts while Elliott is regarded as, perhaps, the top running back in the class.

And with the NFL Network, Sportscenter and the Big Ten Network set to broadcast live from the Woody Hayes Center, expect Columbus to be buzzing.

Who: NFL coaches, scouts, other personnel and 22 Ohio State football players — including 14 who participated at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis last month — league coaches, scouts and everyone in between.

What: For those invited to the combine, Pro Day is a chance to either reaffirm strong showings at Lucas Oil Stadium or answer questions/dispel doubts following poor/below average outings

When: Friday, 9:30 a.m.

Where: Woody Hayes Athletic Center, Columbus, Ohio

Players to watch: Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott, Eli Apple, Darron Lee, Taylor Decker, Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones, Michael Thomas, Vonn Bell, Tyvis Powell, Jalin Marshall, Adolphus Washington, Joshua Perry, Nick Vannett.
