Cardi B Raps 'Tongue Out, I’m Michael Jordan' in New Rob49 Collab "On Dat Money"
In the new song's video, Cardi delivers her verse from atop a pile of cash.
Cardi B is in a Michael Jordan-inspired "tongue out" frame of mind on her new Rob49 collab "On Dat Money," out today.

In the track’s second verse, Cardi takes the song’s core imagery—namely, engaging in sexual acts while a large amount of cash provides a comfortable surface beneath you—and expands on it through contagiously confident references to Zelle and, yes, MJ. The latter nod comes in right at the end of the second verse, like so:
Send that Zelle for me, pick out my nails for me
You gon' CC what this throat do when you put Chanel on me
He said, 'Okay, baby, turn me up, and pop that pussy for me'
Ayy, okay, up and down, make it clap, start applaudin'
Ayy, okay, turn around, bend it over, don't be boring

Production on the new song is credited to Schife and LunchMoney Lewis. Frankie, George Buford, and Frederick Buford directed the track's official video, which sees Cardi, fittingly, rapping parts of her verse while atop a massive pile of cash.
In a statement, Rob49 said he was "very excited" about sharing what he and Cardi cooked up together, pointing to the song’s release as a culminating moment following a period of "grinding hard" in recent months.
"Her talent and energy is unmatched," he said of working with Cardi.

Shortly before the new song’s release, Cardi capped off a day of Joe Budden-related headlines and ensuing social media discourse with a message she directed "to Bardi gang or anybody who’s just a fan of my music or even my craziness." In it, Cardi called the anticipation for her long-awaited Invasion of Privacy follow-up "obvious" while also acknowledging that she has "my good days and my bad days."
The new album, meanwhile, will be out "this year," per Cardi herself.

The "On Dat Money" verse follows other 2024 drops from Cardi including "Enough (Miami)," "Puntería" with Shakira, "Like What (Freestyle)," the "Wanna Be" remix with GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion, and "Put Em in the Fridge" with Peso Pluma. At one point amid new music speculation, whoever runs the official Atlantic Records social channels made a joke about sneaking into the recording studio to steal the album in question.
