A woman is dead following a three-car crash in Avon early Tuesday.
Police and medics responded to the crash on Route 10 just after 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Lt. John Schmalberger of the Avon Police Department.
Schmalberger said one of the vehicles involved in the crash appeared to have rolled over during the accident.
According to Schmalberger, all three drivers involved were taken to an area hospital and one of them, a woman, was pronounced dead. The lieutenant said that her name is being withheld until her family can be notified.
The other two drivers suffered minor injuries and have cooperated with authorities, Schmalberger said.
The North Central Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash, according to Schmalberger.
Route 10 was closed in the area of the crash for several hours Tuesday morning for the investigation.
