After a rough loss to Arizona last weekend, the Bears brought the fire to their three-match slate at Hellman Tennis Complex this weekend. Cal welcomed Utah, Santa Barbara and Saint Mary’s to Bear Territory and sent each team home with a loss.
This week, the Bears will take on Utah, Santa Barbara and Saint Mary’s. With the weather-based cancellation of last week’s Arizona State match, Cal will be coming off of its 1-4 loss to Arizona.Â
Cal is now on a three-match win streak after a blowout win against the Dons, and with two tough matchups against No. 6 Arizona and No. 20 Arizona State coming up, the Bears hope to bring the same energy and continue their winning ways.
Hellman Tennis Complex saw two Cal victories this past weekend as the Bears defeated both Oregon and Washington. With a match against Bay rivals University of San Francisco looming, the Bears will look to add another tally to the win column.
With the final season of Pac-12 play beginning this weekend, the Bears will look to steady themselves and find a consistent voice in conference play.
