Are you brushing your teeth wrong? Expert reveals exactly how it should be done (and it will keep your brain healthy too)

Brushing your teeth with your less dominant hand can have a huge impact on brain health, experts claim, and can even banish brain fog for good.

Dr Pang KwanKin, a chiropractic neurologist, revealed the simple health hack on TikTok and it quickly went viral.

According to the specialist using your 'other' hand to complete the mundane morning task is the easiest way to strengthen and straighten important pathways in the brain.

And it's not just for brain fog, the hack will also help improve your brain's ability to regulate.

Emotional regulation has a profound effect on our ability to think rationally and engage in learning and also on how we communicate with others.

'Do this if you have brain fog or brain dysregulation for 30 days, I promise you will see a change,' Dr KwanKin said.

And people were quick to reveal the impact swapping hands had on them.

'I actually started doing this with my non-dominant hand and it really works,' one woman said.

'I agree with this 100 percent, it makes your brain cells wake up instead of being dormant,' another woman said.

However, one man who tried brushing his teeth this way complained that he hurt his gums every time.

Dr KwanKin also advises people suffering from brain fog to try gargling every day.

'Mouth gargling calms down the area of your brain that perceives stress,' the doctor said.

Dr KwanKin recommended vibrating the bottom of your feet and standing on one leg for ten seconds as other simple things to do to improve blood flow to the brain.
