A mother who dressed her five-year-old daughter in white was shocked after the jealous bride confronted her in a rage.
The mother explained that her daughter is very close to her brother - the groom - and was thrilled to be attending the ceremony.
'When my brother and his fiancée announced their engagement, my daughter was upset because she wanted to marry him first,' she wrote on Reddit.
'He gave her a plastic ring and promised she could be his 'best girl' and dance with him at the wedding. They practiced for it every time he visited,' she added.
Due to her daughter's eczema flare up the mother picked up a different wedding outfit for the child to wear at the last minute - a plain, white cotton dress.
The bride then flew into a jealous rage over seeing the colour of the child's dress at the wedding - even asking the mother to go home and pick another option.
The mother refused to leave and pick a less offensive outfit - prioritising the child's comfort.
That was when things quickly spiraled out of control.

'The bride accused me of p****** out my daughter... she also made a disturbing comment about how my daughter would look like a 'child bride',' the woman said.
'I was horrified and told her she was disgusting.'
While the bride tried to apologise for the outburst afterwards, the mother left the wedding with her child in tears - leading her brother to call off the entire ceremony.
'Apparently she's always been extremely jealous of my brother's close relationship with my daughter, how he constantly buys her stuff and volunteers to babysit over spending money or time with fiancée,' the woman explained.
Taking to Reddit to ask if she was in the wrong, the American mother sharply divided opinion with her decision to dress her child in white.
Many people argued that the situation could have easily been avoided and was entirely the mother's fault.
'You really cant see at all how you may have screwed up here,' a man asked.
'The ring plus dance plus wanting to marry him is creepy as hell, but you bringing her in white given that context is truly deranged,' one woman said.
'At best, no one had any inappropriate intentions, but it was a lot. A ring, a spotlight dance and a white dress? What would the bride get that the niece wouldn’t,' she added.
'The daughter’s obsession with her uncle (and the adults handling of it) prevented her uncle from getting married. That’s wild,' she said.
Others called out the mother for only having one dress that was suitable for her child to wear.
'If your daughter has eczema that badly, then it’s incumbent on you to have more than one article of clothing that won’t cause her agita. Especially in the summertime. One cotton garment? Come on,' one woman said.
Others called the bride's reaction unhinged and placed the blame for the drama all on her shoulders.
'Honestly the bride is insane for being insecure over a child, the main reason people don’t want others wearing white is fear of losing their spotlight, a child isn’t going to outshine them,' one woman said.
'I agree. This bride is demented if she is jealous of a five-year-old...she sounds unhinged. She should be delighted that her husband is so kind and interactive with his little niece. He sounds like good father material,' another woman said.
'Bride is gross. Brother dodged a bullet,' another said.
Others thought the groom's extreme reaction in calling off the wedding was also strange.
A few people refused to take sides.
