Who's going to tackle me? Akshata Murty tests out youngsters' ball skills as she joins husband Rishi Sunak on visit to India - with PM moaning about the lack of cricket fans
Akshata Murty showed off her ball skills today as she joined husband Rishi Sunak chatting to youngsters in India.
Ms Murty, looking stylish in a vivid red dress, went barefoot for an impromptu kickaround as the couple visited the British Council in New Delhi.
After being given a sports top with her name on the back Ms Murty - whose father is a billionaire Indian IT tycoon - vowed to wear the garment the next time she goes running.
But Mr Sunak - who is attending the G20 summit over the weekend - complained that not enough of the children were cricket fans.
The pair met children taking part in UK-funded programmes that support computer coding and language skills.
Mr Sunak was heard asking the schoolchildren whether they watched India's successful moon landing.

After getting a fulsome reply, he said: 'That was really cool, wasn't it? A special moment.'
The couple also joined a group of children who told them about a favourite book they are reading, with one 14-year-old picking William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Ms Murty was spotted playing football barefooted with children in the courtyard of the British Council.
But Mr Sunak was disappointed that there were not more cricket fans among the children practising their ball skills.
After asking them to raise their hands if they liked different sports, Mr Sunak said: 'There is a lot of basketball (fans), not enough cricket – definitely not enough cricket.'
He spoke to some of the children about the Indian Premier League cricket final.
