She also replied to some well wishers across videos and let them know that she did not break her tailbone but doctors are currently seeking a second opinion on her injuries.

While the teenager was lucky and survived the fall, many times rodeo drivers end up dying due to the severity of their injuries.

An Alabama woman died after she was thrown from a horse at a rodeo in the Florida panhandle, local authorities announced in January 2023.

Regina Short, 56, had just finished competing in a barrel race at the Baker Arena Community Center and was leaving the competition center when her horse suddenly threw her off its back, WEAR-TV reports.

She fell and hit a pole, according to deputies with the Okaloosa Sheriffs Department, and was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities would not immediately release Short's name, and would only say the victim was a 56-year-old woman from out of state.

But fellow horse riders identified her on Facebook as they shared their condolences and posted photos of her final moments — showing her happy on the back of a horse as she did what she loved.

After Short's untimely death, the competition was cancelled and was be rescheduled for later.

Barrel racing is a rodeo event wherein a horse and rider attempt to run a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time.

In collegiate and professional ranks, the event prominently features women although both sexes compete at amateur and youth levels.
