The Trump campaign Sunday slammed Joe Biden as a 'security risk' and demanded that he leave the White House immediately.
It issued a blistering statement running down his three and a half years in office after the 81-year-old announced he would not be seeking reelection in November.
'Joe Biden cannot take himself out of a campaign for president because he is too mentally incompetent and still remain in the White House,' said top Trump campaign officials Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles.
'Biden is a national security threat in great cognitive decline and a clear and present danger to every man, woman, and child in our country.
'The question then to Kamala Harris is simple: knowing that Joe Biden withdrew from the campaign because of his rapidly deteriorating condition, does Harris believe the people of America are safe and secure with Joe Biden in the White House for six more months?'
The Trump campaign slammed Joe Biden and said he was not fit to be in the White House
Biden finally bowed to overwhelming pressure on Sunday afternoon. He had not been seen since Wednesday when he was diagnosed with COVID-19 but had been under scrutiny for three weeks since a disastrous debate performance against Trump.
The former president used a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday to hammer Democrats for not knowing who their candidate would be in November.
He polled his supporters on who they would like to face in the election and tested his attack lines on 'laughing Kamala.'
In their statement, the Trump campaign chiefs signaled how it will tie the Biden administration's problems with inflation and immigration to Harris.
'And during this entire term, Kamala Harris – as well as every other Democrat in Washington, sat by and did NOTHING,' they wrote.
'They are all just as complicit as Biden is in the destruction of our once-great Nation, and they must all be thrown out of office.'
They said Harris was 'just as much of a joke as Biden.'

The Trump campaign quickly turned its fire on Kamala Harris calling her the 'enable in chief for crooked Joe Biden' and tying her to his time in office
'Harris will be even WORSE for the people of our Nation than Joe Biden,' they continued.
'Harris has been the Enabler in Chief for Crooked Joe this entire time. They own each other’s records, and there is no distance between the two. Harris must defend the failed Biden Administration AND her liberal, weak-on-crime record in CA.'
A Trump-supporting super PAC pivoted quickly to attacking Harris, launching an advert that it said would soon air in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
It shows how Trump world had already been preparing for the likelihood that Harris would be the eventual Democratic nominee.
Trump's eldest son Don Jr. said on social media that Harris 'owns the entire leftwing policy record of Joe Biden.'
