Perth shopper Courtney Oliver goes on epic TikTok rant over why she's 'fed up' every time she goes to the supermarket

An Aussie shopper has fired up on social media about the rude customers she encounters at the supermarket.

In her TikTok titled 'Justice for supermarket workers… are you guys ok' Courtney Oliver said the staff at her local Coles in Perth are 'literally just old ladies working there who have been working there for like 65 million years' and 'young people who are like school and uni'.

'They're all beautiful, they're all lovely… everyone there is so nice.'

Ms Oliver continued: 'Every time I go, someone — I don't want to say someone older, because sometimes they are younger — but always someone is going, "I don't want to use self-serve, why is there no cash check-outs available?" Blah blah blah.'

Looking straight at the camera Ms Oliver asked 'Do you think it's their fault?'

'Do you think that f****ing Emily who works at Coles three days a week just to pay for her life while she goes to uni, do you think she decides how many checkouts there are?

'Do you think old f***ing Linda who's worked there for 27 years on the checkout or selling smokes… do you think that it's up to her? No!'

Ms Oliver said she will always defend an employee or staff member if someone is being rude to them, because she has been in that position.

Ms Olive continued her epic rant.

'If you truly believe the person serving you or standing there controlling the self serve checkout, if you believe that it is them that has personally made a decision that inconveniences you, you've got rocks in your head.'

Ms Oliver ended the TikTok by reminding customers that staff members don't make decisions.

'They are massive corporations, they decide it, not young people.

'Stop being so mean.'

Replies to Ms Oliver's TikTok thanked her for defending supermarket staff.

'As someone who works at Coles self serve checkouts, thank you,' one wrote.

'Coles worker here....every. single. day.! like, I kinda get it but why go on and on at us like it's our fault? We get told it's literally our fault!' wrote another.

'Absolutely. My daughter (who) worked at Coles had food thrown at her for asking someone to scan an item after they (tried) to steal it.

'Literally worked self serve and a lady came up screaming saying she shouldn't have to scan her things herself. Told her registers were open. Told me she didn't want to wait. Logic.'

One reply summed up the gratitude towards Ms Oliver.

'Customers like you get us through our shifts so thank you!!'
