A ute driver and his passenger have made a lucky escape moments before the vehicle was hit by a train at a crossing.
The car got caught at the level crossing in Herne Hill, Perth, on Thursday night after colliding with another vehicle.
The pair jumped out of the ute before the train collided with it.
They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
