Greenslopes, Queensland: Brisbane woman charged with attempted murder as she's accused of setting a house on fire while a man and two children slept inside

A woman has been accused of attempting to kill three people by setting a house on fire while they slept.

The house in Greenslopes in Brisbane's south was discovered alight about 4am on July 12 with a man, aged 44, and two children, aged 12 and nine, still inside but able to escape without injury.

A 46-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of attempted murder (domestic violence) and one count of arson (domestic violence), Queensland Police said on Friday. 

Officers took the woman into custody at the scene and she was taken to hospital as a precaution and later charged following an investigation.

She has been denied bail and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
