Former President Donald Trump ridiculed Joe Biden's mental and physical state during a meandering interview with Elon Musk on X Spaces.
Speaking Monday night after technical glitches delayed the start of the event, Trump lobbed many of his harshest comments at his former opponent, as he has done at some of his campaign rallies since Biden dropped out of the race for the White House.
He blasted Biden's appearance during the president's weekend visit to his Rehoboth Beach home, where Biden lounged on the beach for a few hours with wife Jill and granddaughter Naomi, and went for a bike ride near his Delaware getaway spot.
'Now Biden’s, you know, close to vegetable stage, in my opinion. Okay?' Trump told Musk.
'I looked at him today on the beach and I said, "Why would anybody allow him?" The guy could barely walk. Why would anybody allow him? Does he have a political adviser that thinks this looks good?'

'You know, he thinks this looks good? Because it looks so bad.,' Trump continued.
'It's ridiculous. I mean - and he's been doing that for a long time. You know He can't lift the chair. The chair weighs about three ounces. It's meant for children and old people to lift. And he can't lift it. The whole thing is crazy,' Trump continued.
'It's clearly like we just don't have a president,' Musk agreed, in an extended interview that featured no shortage of bizarre moments, including Trump saying Harris looked like his wife Melania as depicted on the cover of Time Magazine.
Trump, 78, spoke after C-SPAN aired a video clip of Biden, 81, inclined far back in his beach chair as he sat before the waves on a balmy August weekend at the beach. The clip went viral, as online users posted about the president taking some R&R now that he has left the campaign behind him.
But the source of Trump's comments about Biden not being able to lift a chair were not evident. Reporters traveling with Biden this weekend only got to see him after he was getting to his chair. There have been prior clips of Biden walking around shirtless at the beach.
On Sunday, Biden zoomed by reporters during a bike ride, riding with one hand as he waved and whizzed by without answering questions about Gaza, Russia, and Trump's claims that he is angry about getting pushed out.

Trump's blasts at Biden come as the Kamala Harris campaign has been ridiculing him for staying at home rather than hitting the swing states during a period when Harris has snatched a narrow polling lead in key battlegrounds.
Trump has held a handful of rallies since his convention, with his latest in Montana in a state that isn't contested at the presidential level but holds a key Senate race.
Trump got pressed on his campaign schedule at his press conference last week and said it was because he was 'leading by a lot and because I'm letting their convention go through.'
