Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti reveals £1million worth of 'precious and personal belongings' were stolen from his LA home in raid that lasted just 'six minutes'

Former Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti has said almost £1 million worth of items have been stolen from his LA home.

The 29-year-old said on Instagram on Thursday that he had lost 'precious and personal belongings' worth about £933,312 in the theft, which he claimed took six minutes.

He told fans he is 'trying to stay positive' and added that he will be moving house as a result of the incident.

Sanclimenti won the eighth series of the ITV reality show in 2022, alongside then-partner Ekin-Su Culculoglu.

The pair split in June 2023 and got back together in the same year, before breaking up again in January this year.

It comes amid a spate of burglaries targeting the homes of the rich and famous in LA in recent weeks.

He has also appeared in Ekin-Su And Davide: Homecomings, which saw the couple embark on two trips to Sanclimenti's hometown in Italy, and Culculoglu's hometown in Turkey.

Speaking about the theft on Instagram, Sanclimenti said: 'I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has displayed their concern and is DMing me and asking why I have been quiet over socials.

'As you all know I'm living in LA atm. Our home got broken into and was robbed of nearly 1.2m worth of precious and personal belongings, gone within six minutes.

'Just goes to show the saying is true, the evil always target the pure hearted, but I'm trying to stay positive that the good people will always win in the end.

'I'm taking a few days to reset, change house and keep moving forward.'

The former Love Island star posted photos which showed empty shelves with just a couple of items - including a Christian Dior bag - left strewn on the floor, seemingly dropped in the robbers' haste.

The thieves were thorough, even reportedly taking a safe, using a drill to extract it from a closet.

The incident comes as ex Ekin-Su holidays solo in Portofino, posting updates to her four million Instagram followers in which she appears to have taken a swipe at Sanclimenti.

Culculoglu urged her fans to 'set boundaries' and not rely on anyone else for happiness.

The star also encouraged her fans to have more confident in themselves and urged them to 'be there your own best friend' in a series of videos shared to her Instagram Story on Wednesday evening.

She told them: 'So I'm currently in beautiful Italy on my own having a lovely few days just because I wanted to.

'And I think spending time on your own and taking yourself away, taking yourself to be on your own, being your own best friend - which I relate back to the book is partly why I want you guys to read it and why I am the way I am  - why being on your own isn't scary.

'Why having the confidence to go on a holiday on your own  - you don't need anyone in your life.'

She added: 'Trust me happiness comes from within, it comes from you, it doesn't come from other people.

'When you stop relying on happiness, on other people, and you start to find it deep within your soul, that is when life begins I swear.

'And you don't tolerate b******t from anyone and you have boundaries and you grow and I can't wait to be 30 in six or seven days, bring it on.' she said.

The apparent raid of Sanclimenti's home is the latest in a line of expert heists which have seen Hollywood's most rich and famous residents targeted.

Last month Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson had their $26million Pacific Palisades home broken into, TMZ reported. It is not known if anything was taken.

The couple were the fourth celebrities to be hit by a similar crime in a month after Bhad Bhabie, Sarah Hyland, and Marlon Wayans.

Bhabie's home was hit by burglars after thieves smashed through her back door before stealing items such as handbags and jewelery.

Law enforcement entered the rapper's home after the alarm was triggered shortly before 10pm on July 12.

Authorities discovered signs of forced entry but none of those who broke into the property were found at the scene, although one man in a black hoodie was spotted fleeing by time cops arrived.

Sarah Hyland, 33, also had her home broken into by intruders after she spotted 'two masked men' leaving her property on her security cameras.

The Modern Family star's house in Los Angeles was burgled on July 27 - also during broad daylight - after the suspects smashed a glass window to gain access into her home.

Sarah had been out of town at the time of the incident but caught her crime while watching her live security camera footage from her mobile phone after receiving an alert.

The Los Angeles Police Department has been contacted for comment.
