Officials have said that a local police officer climbed on to the same roof where would-be assassin Thomas Crooks, 20, pictured inset, was perched but retreated when the gunman pointed his rifle at him. Moments after that interaction, gunfire rang out as Crooks opened fire on the presumptive Republican nominee, wounding him in the ear and killing local fire chief Corey Comperatore. He was 50 years old.

The trio, who are believed to have visited Mosquera's home country of Colombia, could be seen relaxing on a beach and drinking from cans under a large parasol as workers milled in the background. Another picture appears to show the trio sitting at the back of a boat, wearing life vests, with beautiful views over the bay. Mosquera, 34, was remanded in custody when he appeared before Wimbledon Magistrates Court today charged with murder.

A married couple has suffered severe injuries after leaping off a railway bridge into a 90-foot deep gorge to escape an approaching train during a photoshoot. The incident occurred on the Gormaghat Bridge in Pali, Rajasthan, northwest India , around midday on July 15, as reported by Times of India. The harrowing moment was captured on video, shared by @TimesNow on X, showing the couple creating content for social media when the train appeared unexpectedly. The couple, deeply absorbed in their photoshoot, did not notice the train until it was only feet away. In a desperate attempt to avoid the oncoming train, they jumped off the bridge, plummeting into the gorge below.

Established babysitter, Danielle Lobes, from Portland , Oregon, agreed to look after two children between 7pm and 2am, but was alarmed when their mother failed to come back. At 5am she texted the misisng mother asking where she was but received no reply. She took to TikTok to detail the situation with ended with her calling the cops.

Two women demanded they be given sunbeds close to the sea, putting them in front of people who had already been on the beach for hours, a local government official said , citing a witness. Lifeguards refused and a vicious fight broke out between the women and members of the public, with footage showing them wrestling and yanking each other's hair. Witnesses said the women then turned on beach lifeguards who had been trying to pull them away, and that the fight went on for 'more than half an hour'. The violent scenes took place in the coastal resort of Varcaturo, near Naples, where families had been enjoying a day out.
