I have been very fortunate to work on Match of the Day for 10 years, which has given me the opportunity to work with brilliant people like Gary Lineker.

He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and he supported me from the moment I walked through the door.

I am saddened to see the events of the last few days unfold the way they have since Gary’s tweet. Like many fellow pundits, I was really surprised to see him taken off the show on Friday.

I support Gary as a friend and colleague and hope like everyone at MOTD that a swift resolution can be found.

We can then all get back to what we enjoy, which is making great shows about the game we all love.
