Harry Redknapp makes extraordinary claim that Harry Kane could team up with Mauricio Pochettino and make the daring move to join Chelsea from Tottenham
- Redknapp believes 'family man' Kane would rather stay in London than relocate
- A move to Chelsea could soon offer a reunion with former manager Pochettino
- Kane turns 30 in July and time is ticking if he wants to win a major trophy
Harry Redknapp has suggested that Harry Kane could make the daring switch to leave Tottenham and move across London to a different Premier League club.
The England captain is out of contract in the summer of 2024 and Spurs will risk losing him for free if Kane doesn't commit to a new deal before then.
With that in mind, Kane could finally be on the move this summer in search of title-winning opportunities, which would draw a 19-year spell on the club's books to a close.
Redknapp believes that if an offer were to come in, Kane could be tempted into joining Tottenham's bitter cross-city rivals Chelsea.
The former Spurs manager believes that Kane is a 'family man' and would rather stay closer to home rather than have to relocate to the other side of the country or have to move abroad.

Tottenham fans would find it difficult to accept Kane leaving to join such a fierce rival
Kane is reported to be considering moving away from North London for some time and was reportedly close to joining Manchester City under Pep Guardiola in 2021, only for the deal to collapse.
Manchester United have also been widely reported to be interested in offering a deal to England's all-time leading goalscorer.
Kane has offer abroad as well, as Bayern Munich are still in the market for a long-term heir to Robert Lewandowski's throne at the Allianz Arena.
But, Redknapp believes that Kane would turn all of those offers down if he had the option to remain close to home with his growing family in London.
'It will be interesting if Pochettino goes to Chelsea,' Redknapp told Beyond the Pitch podcast. But, he confessed that the move would be an enticing one for Kane.
He continued: 'That wouldn't go down well with the Tottenham fans at all that's for sure. It's a great move for him and I think he's [Harry Kane] building a house in that area.
'He's a family man and he'd be happier not moving to the north of England or wherever he'd have to go.'
