'It could be a VERY exciting story': Ex-Man United boss Ralf Rangnick tips Julian Nagelsmann to take the Tottenham job and says the German would flourish working with 'one of the best stadiums and training facilities'
- Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for a new manager ahead of next season
- Ryan Mason is their second interim boss since the March exit of Antonio Conte
- Ralf Rangnick believes Julian Nagelsmann could succeed at the crisis club
Former Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick believes Tottenham could prove an 'exciting' prospect for Julian Naglesmann if he opts to take over at the crisis ridden north London side.
Spurs have been in free-fall in recent weeks with form having nosedived since parting ways with previous boss Antonio Conte back in March.
Since then the club have appointed Cristian Stellini only to then sack him this week following a disastrous four-game run consisting of three defeats, including the 6-1 humiliation at Newcastle United on Sunday.
Ryan Mason has now been put in charge until the end of the campaign when Spurs will once again be looking for a new manager over the summer.
One of the early favourites has been Nagelsmann following his dismissal from Bayern Munich also last month.

Now Rangnick believes the club could provide Nagelsmann with the perfect opportunity to start a long term project to held rebuild his reputation as well get Spurs heading in the right direction following their collapse in form which has seen them go from competing for a top three spot to now trying to achieve any sort of European qualification.
'This is not a club where they expect you to be at the top immediately. So it could be a very, very exciting story. Tottenham are an exciting club in many ways,' Rangnick told Sky Germany.
Rangnick is a former manager at RB Leipzig, before he was replaced in the summer of 2019 by Nagelsmann.
However, he has also performed competently in the role as sporting director, and it's another area where Spurs are lacking following the resignation of Fabio Paratici after he was banned globally for two-and-a-half years following past activities at former club Juventus.

Rangnick also expressed that for Nagelsmann to succeed at Spurs, they would need a competent sporting director to back him up.
'They’ve one of the best stadiums in the world. They have one of the best training facilities, and Daniel Levy, who has run the club for many, many years.
'If Tottenham really want Julian Nagelsmann, it’d be important to have a sporting director there to support him."
While Nagelsmann is the favourite to take the hot seat at the club but it is believed little progress has been made in talks between the relevant parties as the north London side weigh up potential options ahead of a likely transitional summer.
