Former US women's national team star Sydney Leroux has a special 'hack' that she uses as a mother to make her mornings with her children easier.

The 34-year-old forward has a four-year-old and seven-year-old, but still needs to get to practice early with her club, Angel City FC.

And the mom has hilariously revealed that her children wear the next day's clothes to bed every night so save time each morning.

'My son actually was the one who thought of it first,' she told CNBC Make It.

'I was like, 'This is genius! We're gonna do this all the time. I'm gonna do this with your sister.''

Leroux, who has four goals in NWSL this season, said the method 'saves us a lot of time.

She told Make It that her son - who has to wear a uniform to school - sometimes sleep in a polo shirt while her daughter enjoys sleeping in 'comfy clothes.'

Leroux shares son Cassius, 7, and Roux, 4, with ex-husband (and fellow pro soccer player) Dom Dwyer.

The pair split in 2021, with Leroux saying at the time that 'My children have always been and always will be my first priority.'

The Canada-born forward, who last played for the United States in 2017, scored 35 goals for her country and was part of winning teams at the 2012 Olympics and 2015 World Cup.
