Fans were left baffled by Bukayo Saka's disallowed goal after automated lines were not shown.

The Three Lions surged into the Euro 2024 final on Wednesday night after a last-minute winner from Ollie Watkins.

Gareth Southgate's side faltered within the opening seven minutes when Xavi Simons sent a curving rocket past the leaping grasp of Jordan Pickford.

But England needed just 11 minutes to get back onto level footing, let in by a somewhat contentious penalty shout that Harry Kane stepped up and buried.

An intense period of the game followed with both sides locked at 1-1, but Saka appeared to have made the breakthrough with a cool finish in the 79th minute.

Three Lions supporters were sent into delirium after Kyle Walker sent the cross into the box.

However, celebrations were soon cut short when the referee was advised by VAR that it was offside.

Fans were made even angrier after the automated lines showing the offside decision were not shown.

Many people took to social media, with one person commenting: 'Hold up, how is this offside?'

Another said: 'This looks close. Why didn’t the semi-auto offside appear on the screen?'
