Alvaro Morata's model wife, Alice Campello, has revealed the reasons behind their planned divorce just a day after denying the Spain Euro 2024 winning captain had sent 'explicit photos' to another woman.

The pair announced their breakup at the start of the week following seven years of marriage, during which time they have had four children together.

Confirmation of their split came just a fortnight after the pair were spotted kissing on a beach during a family holiday on the picturesque Mediterranean island of Sardinia.

Now, Campello, has explained why the couple have ended their relationship and cited how the 'instability' of football combined with other pressures forced them to breaking point.

The 29-year-old influencer also explained how post-natal depression has affected both of them and their decision-making, with their fourth child, Bella, born just last year.

Describing how they had mutually decided to end their marriage, Campello said via Marca: 'We are two young people, we have both been immature when it comes to managing certain situations, there are many children, moments of instability of being from one country to the other.

'My postpartum depressions have influenced and yours, too, which has not allowed us to manage certain situations between us.'

Morata and Campello have remained on good terms since announcing their decision as they attempt to navigate their way through a respectful divorce in the weeks and months ahead.

Campello hit back at suggestions of infidelity as 'bull****' in an impassioned post on social media as speculation intensified surrounding the reasoning for the split and has explained how they are still in love.

'We love each other infinitely, love does not end from one day to the next, we respect each other a lot and nothing will change,' she continued.

'It is what we both needed now, however, I know that Álvaro would kill for me,' added Campello.

Just weeks ago, the model was pictured by her husband's side after he captained Spain to victory in the final of Euro 2024 on July 14.

Morata, who recently moved to Inter Milan after two seasons at Atletico Madrid, was recently spotted without his wedding ring as he signed shirts for fans of the Serie A side.
